HOW AQUACLEAN HELPS THE ENVIRONMENT

RECYCLED AND RECYCLABLE COLLECTIONS
We've got eco-design way down in our DNA, and our latest collection comes from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Each metre of fabric comes from around twenty 1.5-litre plastic bottles. This is how we close the cycle for this type of non-reusable material, giving it a new lease on life in the form of fabrics for your home.
DON'T DUMP IT, REUSE IT!
At aquaclean, we are fully aware of the importance of promoting reuse and upcycling. That's why we’ve developed a whole new series of initiatives to achieve this. Firstly, we train numerous design schools in the reuse of fabrics by staging actions for young designers, and secondly, we promote fair trade and local commerce by making bags produced from aquaclean fabric-waste made by women in rural areas.

IN-HOUSE PACKAGING
For us, "don't dump it, always reuse it" is a maxim that we apply in every phase of our fabric design, production and packaging processes. At aquaclean we have our own, in-house packaging which is so resistant that it can be reused either for fabric storage itself, or for re-dispatch.
So, remember, if you do finally want to dispose of our packaging, you should contact an authorized agent.
The cardboard used in the manufacture of our boxes and tubes has the EWC-Stat code 15 01 01, whereas the plastic film is EWC-Stat 15 01 02. The fabrics themselves have the EWC-Stat codes 04 02 22, 20 01 10 or 19 12 12.
So please, it is essential to recycle these materials correctly so that we can reuse the fibres, plastics and cardboard, and thereby close the life cycle for these products, turning them into top quality fabrics once again, but always out of total respect for the environment.
